Thanks to Lohi, we both have Wave accounts. It’s still a bit buggy and I would have liked to invite more people but till the “preview” is concluded I can’t expect too much but it’s looking promising

That’s right, we’re now on Twitter! You can find us at http://twitter.com/tsltg. We’ll be improving our integration with Twitter even more in time to come, so stay tuned!
Tried searching our site and couldn’t find what your were looking for? Don’t worry, just send us a request and we’ll do the rest! That’s right, we’ll get back to you with what we find
Though please search before making a request
Thanks!
Now you can refine results by removing stores from your search or product selection! This useful tool helps narrow down availability to the stores that you want!
Check out the right-hand sidebar for the “Refine” option, visible on searches and on the “products” page.
… And we’re on the Mozilla Wiki for Ubiquity commands @ https://wiki.mozilla.org/index.php?title=Labs/Ubiquity/Commands_In_The_Wild#Site-specific_Search.
Just launched the Store Administration the other day and for those of you lucky stores already onboard you’ve gotten access to it already! Let’s see how this goes
Still getting more stores onboard so as always, if you do know someone who might be interested do let us know and we shall be in touch with them right away!
Hey! Since our launch on April 20th we’ve been working on different aspects of the site most noteably on our “search”. As most of you must have noticed we decided to build our own rather than adding Google site-search. The primary reason being that Google still hasn’t indexed our entire site and so when stores add/update products and their prices you wouldn’t get it immediately and the search results would not be as accurate as most of you might expect.
So this gives use an interesting opportunity to fine-tune and customize the search to “our” requirements…and get this…it learns! So the more you use it the better the results over time! We know it ain’t perfect but it’s getting better so don’t bother browsing – just search for it and save yourself some time!
In other news we’ve been working on getting more stores…yes we’ve been reading your comments and we feel the same way, more stores the better! So Lohi is working on that with the help of another friend so we should see some more progress in that department soon
As we always “encourage” please tell your friends about us and join our facebook group and fan page :D
Thanks again for the encouragement and keep using “the sri lankan tech guide”
Yep, you heard it here first!! SLMEGA.com has uploaded over 5,000 of their products onto our site – check out their store here and now try searching for something – you probably might find it this time
For those of you who use ubiquity you’ll be glad to know that we now have ubiquity support for The Sri Lankan Tech Guide! If you don’t know what Ubiquity have a look at this:
Ubiquity for Firefox from Aza Raskin on Vimeo.
You can now search through the site/products/tags/stores using the commands provided by the script.
Get it from http://www.thesrilankantechguide.com/ubiquity.html.
Enjoy!
Yup, that’s right people, you read that correctly – we’ve made it into The Bottom Line! You may find the article on us at http://www.thebottomline.lk/2009/04/29/techno35.htm.
